Remember the first time you heard Jamiroquai and thought, "They'd rock the house if they didn't suck"? Enter Jamie Lidell.
Half of the British digifunk duo Super_Collider, Lidell tried his hand at a solo release last year, and the result was a genre-bending gem littered with cap doffs to Stevie, Beck, Al Green and Prince, to name just a few.
His time alongside knob-twiddling guru Mocky explains the disc's phenomenal production values, perfectly echoing the Memphis Stax sound on the title track, with just enough loops and effects scattered throughout the rest of the songs to lend the whole shebang a perfect sense of postmillennium tension.
