Comfortably sexy.
Two words that perfectly describe the sound of the American Babies.
Comfortable in that four-guys-sittin’ -around-a-room-strumming- out-old-Gram-Parsons-numbers way.
Sexy in that let’s-toss-in-a-handle-of-Jack-and-an-amp way.
The Parsons reference speaks to the rootsy Americana bent of the Babies’ songs, and there’s no denying a few winks from Conor Oberst’s Bright Eyes here and there.
On the other hand, these guys aren’t shy about turning it up (to 11, natch) and letting loose with a few rockers.
