Forget the fact that raves are, like, so 1995. Forget also the undeniable fact there’s absolutely nothing more annoying than navigating a club full of sweaty touchy-feely kids on E. And while we’re on the subject, forget that said ecstasy leaves holes in your brain the size of freakin’ golf balls.

Nonetheless, it’s totally worth braving all the above and hitting up the latest installment of Whistle just to witness the mind-blowing DJ skills of Q-Bert.

Arguably the best DJ on the planet, Q-Bert was asked to retire from competition and serve as judge at the 1995 DMC Championships after demolishing the field each of the previous four years. Dude is too good to be allowed to even compete with mere mortals anymore.

Sure there’ll be other decent DJs spinning on Saturday. The law of averages dictates that with 45-plus turntablists performing, at least a few will destroy the decks.

Still, it’s highly unlikely a single one can touch the man known simply as “Q.” (Joshua Valocchi)
