Naked at the Philadelphia Museum Scavenger Hunt for Valentine’s Day

Sat., Feb. 10, 2-4:30pm. $25. Philadelphia Museum of Art (west entrance), 26th St. and the Pkwy. 877.946.4868. www.watsonadventures.com

Let’s be honest, guys—ladies love it when we take them on dates to the Art Museum, right? It shows them we’re cultural, creative and artistically literate. Apparently, to them that’s hot.

Honestly, though—when was the last time you brought a girl home after a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and had wild I-hope-the-neighbors-don’t-call-the-cops sex?

My experience has been that Art Museum dates lead to insufferable philosophic discussions over coffee at Mugshots.

Ugh. This is precisely why I’m so tickled by the prospect of the Naked Hunt happening over the next two Saturdays at the PMA.

I’ve never been much for scavenger hunts, but when it involves skin—and lots of it—I’m all in. It’s no great secret the masters have always been fond of nudes. So why not make a little game of scoping them out?

This pseudo-Valentine’s Day event takes full advantage of the nudity on display in the name of culture and even proffers prizes for those who find the most the fastest. They’re virtually handing it to us on a silver platter, gents.

This is the culturally acceptable equivalent of “I read Playboy for the articles.” (Joshua Valocchi)
