Conventional wisdom dictates that saddling your band with an unpronounceable name, symbol or in this case punctuation marks is simply bad marketing.

Apparently !!! pay about as much attention to conventional wisdom as the artist formerly known as the Artist Formerly Known as Prince.

As luck would have it, thumbing your nose at tradition has its benefits. For instance, in the new tech age !!! (suggested pronunciation: chik chik chik) are the first band to appear on my iPod when scrolling by artist.

General malaise then dictates that I listen to more !!! than I would if I had to scroll endlessly to find them.
